About
Us
The
Multihull Yacht Club of Victoria (MYCV) commenced as the Trimaran
Association of Australia (Victorian Branch) in 1964 with 17 founding
members.
The MYCV has been the southern spawning ground for multihulls designed
by visionaries such as Lock Crowther, Tony Grainger and Brett Crowther.
Together, with a few members who have had the means to invest in
their new, and at times, radical designs, they have enabled today's
multihulls to include many innovative design features.

style dominate the larger sizes with our only racing tri being Peter
Claringbold's 'Spirit of Emu'. The trailerable Farrier designs are
the mainstay of the under 30' craft. New boats to join the fleet
this year include Pacifica (a 40' wing masted racing cat),
Desperado (a 41 Grainger racing cat) and Phoenix
(a Buccaneer 33' trimaran).
