The Southern Oceans Multihull Regatta
(Incorporating the Victorian Trailerable Multihull Championships)

The MYCV main racing event of the year is the Southern Oceans Multihull Regatta(SOMR). The regatta is held in early January on Western Port in Victoria.

Something for everyone! - top racing for the keen sailors; handicap starts ensure exciting finishes (Your chance to beat Spirit of Emu; across the finish line in a TT680!). Sit in the marina, visit the vineyards,  if you like join in the multi comraderie, but BE THERE!

Multicoque of the Bay (French, for Multihull)

Run in conjunction with Ocean Racing Club of Victoria's Cock of the Bay Race: - Your chance to race against the cream of Melbourne to Hobart (Westcoaster Melbourne to Devonport Mono fleets, develop your skills for SOMR or  simply sail along for the fun of it!

The Big Bay Race

About 175NM follows directly on from Cock Of The Bay race. Entries available from Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron.

Bundaberg Rum Festival of Sail Regatta

Geelong has been running this race for 133 years and they know how to party! Every man/woman and his/her dog ends up in Geelong for this one. Expect a pretty relaxed atmosphere with about 300 boats of all sorts, even a few power boats who want to join the fun.

Bass Strait Challenge & Three Peaks Races

Set aside time for this ocean race across Bass Strait the long weekend before Easter. Then sail the Three Peaks or cruise back over the Easter Break.

Queenscliff to Hastings Race (Portsea to Hastings)

Run in conjunction with Ocean Racing Club of Victoria's Queenscliff-Hastings Race: - Your chance to race against the cream of Victorian (Port Phillip and Westernport) boats and crews, enjoy the scenery or simply sail along for the fun of it!
